How to play RogueFootball

Choose a difficulty, roll your birth country and pick one of three first clubs. You begin at age 15 with 25 Overall as a Prospect. No download or account is needed — your progress is saved in your browser, and you can sign up later to keep it across devices.

Each season is a branching map of nodes. Matchdays, derbies, cup finals, training, recovery, coach talks, media duties and unexpected events — you choose which path to take, and every choice has consequences.

Matches play out minute by minute with goals, assists, cards and injuries. Your Overall and Fitness decide how much you influence the game, and big matches — derbies and finals — carry bigger rewards and bigger risks.

Playing costs fitness, and a tired player performs worse and gets injured more often. Rest and recovery nodes matter. As you age, your ceiling falls — veterans decline no matter how much they play, so enjoy your peak years.

At the end of each season, choose whether to stay, pursue a bigger club or seek a same-level move. Move up through the club tiers, chase domestic honours and compete in continental finals — from the Conference Cup to the Champions Cup.

Each career has its own retirement age, while decline or a career-ending injury can end it sooner. Your trophies, goals, awards and achievements are recorded — then you can start a new run and try to beat your own history.
